I enjoy creating things, in the past writing but now drawing. It's challenging and there's a long way to go, but I'm loving the journey - such a thrill when you get it right, especially after two or three tries! I am in awe of people who draw easily, and enjoy watching them. Here's an example:

I love this so much! A true immersion in the attention cottage life, from all corners of it.

I'm enjoying being on leave but being at home! Time seems endless for small projects like pressure washing the courtyard and tidying the lego room and playing the gee-tar. I told Ange we should take a month off next year and stay at home.

I am enjoying my new book Demon Copperfield by Barbara Kingsolver. I'm only at page 44, and I did not expect to be enjoying it already - for two reasons. I was sad to leave Nora Webster (by Colm Toibín) and her world emerging from her loss. I do enjoy immersion in a good story, well written. The other reason for not expecting to enjoy my next read so soon was that compared to Nora, Demon is confronting, as a character, and the style and language hard. Yet here I am, on page 44, trying to decide if this large book is to be part of my 8kg of luggage for my three day trip to Talinn. I think it will!

I very much enjoyed going into a book shop on a rare day off to myself, thinking I might get a book or two from my long wishlist of books, and ending up picking up a random one that caught my eye instead, sitting down with it, and getting so intrigued by the first few pages that I had to buy it. It's called Wifedom by Anna Blunder, about George Orwell's invisible wife Eileen O'Shaughnessy

Yes! The ultimate book buying experience, imo.

I am enjoying learning that I can comment on your posts 😌

Another thing I've enjoyed recently is the Shardlake book series by CJ Sansom (Tudor lawyer solves murder mysteries). I just finished the final book in the series and am so sad, but also there is now a TV show so I'm looking forward to watching that and seeing how it gets adapted.

Ahaha, you're welcome!

And that's so good, not having to say a final goodbye. Finishing book series is so hard!

And here I am, going first. 😌

I am so enjoying the new Lonely Island and Seth Myers podcast. They're going through all of the Lonely Island's work on SNL from the beginning. I really really don't enjoy sketch comedy but I sure do enjoy hearing funny friends have friendship time together. In my dreams most comedy might be this way - warm, smart, funny friends hanging out on mic - so I was really born at the right time (podcast time).

I love that you're listening to and enjoying the podcast even though you don't enjoy sketch comedy!
